Curriculum Guide



This curriculum guide supports teachers and administrators in building innovative and academically challenging media arts programs. This 227 page guide was produced by the Four Directions Charter School and In Progress. Together they have successfully implemented media arts curriculum for the school's students since 1991. This guide was funded through the Minnesota Department of Education and the Unites States Department of Education.

We SIng Our Songs



Imagine something so beautiful, so enchanting yet so obvious, that you take it for granted, and you never miss it until it's gone. These precious things are our reservations. We SIng Our Songs invites you to see the inner-beauty of reservation life through this rare collection of digital photography produced by emerging artists from Indian communities throughout Minnesota. The works were all created through the use of digital cameras and computers and were then printed, framed and presented publicly.

Ojibwe Baby Book


The "Ojibwe Baby Book" offers a wonderful way to introduce your children to their Anishinaabe heritage. The book has room for pictures, information about your child's growth and development and first words every child needs to know. Written and designed by Niibin and Jamie Headbird, proud graduates of Four Directions Charter School.
